How To Use Vaginal And Vulvar Moisturizers

- To help with symptoms, many people may need to use these moisturizers 3 to 5 times a week. Symptoms can happen during your treatment and when youre finished with treatment. They can also happen if youre going through sudden menopause .
If you also use vaginal estrogen, do not use it on the same nights you use these moisturizers. For more information about vaginal estrogen, read the Vaginal Estrogen section.
Some people wear panty liners or pads while using these moisturizers, or for urinary incontinence . Wearing panty liners or pads can make your vulva dry. To help seal in moisture and protect your skin, use a cream such as Aquaphor®, Balmex®, or Desitin®. Make sure to put the cream on your vulva before using a panty liner or pad.

Natural Remedies For Vaginal Dryness
While several treatment options are available, we need to understand that there is no guarantee that any of these will work as efficiently as we expect. Moreover, sometimes only the treatment option you choose is simply not enough. Some choose to combine medical treatment with some natural home remedies in order to increase the chances of improving your vaginas health as soon as possible. Make sure that you consult your doctor before starting any therapy at home if you have questions about allergies or drug interactions to foods because you never really know how your body will react. Here are a few foods that you can make part of your daily routine:
1. Soy
While research on the benefits of soy is still ongoing, and there is an unavailability of reputable data, many women have included foods rich in soy like tofu, soymilk, and soybeans and have seen noticeable results. Because soy is a phytoestrogen it can often supply enough estrogenic activity when estrogen stores are low. Too much in your diet of course will have adverse effects. Moderation is key.
2. Sea Buckthorn Oil
Research-based on a study in 2014 concluded that sea buckthorn oil could be an effective remedy to improve vaginal dryness. This is because the oil contains fatty acids, which indirectly contribute to the increase in vaginal elasticity and the strength of the tissue.
3. Plant Estrogens In Your Diet

How Do Estrogen Derivatives Work
Estrogen derivatives are medications used in the prevention and treatment of menopausal symptoms and various conditions associated with menopause, such as vaginal dryness and bone loss . Estrogen derivatives are also used in the treatment of breast and prostate cancers.
Estrogens are a group of natural endogenous hormones in women and are present in smaller quantities in men. Estrogens are the primary hormones responsible for the development and maintenance of the femalereproductive system and secondary sexual characteristics. Estrogens also play an important role in male sexual function.
Estrogen derivatives supplement the deficiency in natural estrogens which get depleted with menopause in women. Estrogen derivatives relieve menopausal symptoms, prevent bone loss, and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in menopausal women.
Endogenous estrogens are of three major types, estradiol, estriol, and estrone. Estrogen derivatives are purified formulations of different types of estrogens derived from natural estrogens from pregnant mares or synthetic estrogen preparations. Estrogen derivatives bind to estrogen receptors in cells and have effects similar to estrogen.
Estrogen derivatives work by reducing elevated levels of reproductive hormones in postmenopausal women, which include gonadotropin-releasing hormone from the hypothalamus, and follicular stimulating hormone , and luteinizing hormone from the pituitary gland.

Is There A Natural Alternative To Estrogen Cream
Yes, there are natural products available.
Like OTC estrogen creams, however, they can be risky. So, before purchasing these natural medications, have a discussion with your healthcare provider.
If youre looking for non-hormonal OTC vaginal moisturizers or lubricants, however, experts typically consider these items as first-choice for vaginal dryness. Replens and K-Y Jelly are a couple of common examples of these OTC non-hormonal vaginal products. If you have questions about these options, talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider.

Vagifem Is The Same As The Bodys Estrogen
Not all estrogens are the same there are several different forms of estrogens. The estrogen used in Vagifem® 10 mcg is called estradiol, which is the same estrogen that your body makes.
Even with estradiol, moderation is important. The North American Menopause Society recommends that women take the lowest effective dose of estrogen consistent with the treatment goals their health care provider has established.
Testimonials Part 1 Of 3
I am a young sixty year old woman and breast cancer survivor. My kids call me sixty and sexy, but I was not feeling sexy. I was extremely sensitive and tender to the point that my clothes chafed me, sitting was uncomfortable, bicycling painful and it was making me miserable although I am a happy individual. I had used estriol cream with little effect. My woman’s health doctors dismayed that the gynecological world was focused on the reproductive years and woman beyond that were ignored. After being told I should use zinc oxide to heal the chafing, I desperately and thankfully sought help on the internet and discovered NeuEve and Dr. Chang. I am only using less than a week and I am the most comfortable I have been in years. I just subscribed and am thrilled to have regained my sexual health.
I cannot believe the results of trying this!! I’ve been on many HRTs. They never helped me like the NeuEve has. I had a hysterectomy and unfortunately now have vaginal atrophy. I would tear, bleed. It was like papercuts on my vulva area. I was dry on the inside. For me it was embarrassing trying to explain what I had to my bf. I was NEVER like this until my hysterectomy. I use the Silk once a week and it’s amazzzing. It’s made all the difference in the world.
This really works!! First thing I have found that actually helps, life is great again.
This works very well and I noticed a more pleasant sexual experience after using this product a couple of times.

The myth that the normal process of aging causes profound physical loss or disability has fueled ageism for eons a healthy older person has no problem seeing, hearing or thinking. Moreover, many healthy older people still have vigorous libidos and sex lives.
In an estimated 50 percent of women, hormonal changes attributable to menopause can lead to vaginal dryness and other symptoms of genitourinary syndrome of menopause . Despite the availability and efficacy of local vaginal estrogen therapy , only about 60 percent of those experiencing GSM seekor are providedmedical help and guidance. Many women wait a year or more to consult a healthcare provider but the majority will use over-the-counter lubricating gels and creams to alleviate GSM. In other words, a breakdown in the system attributable to both providers and patients keeps several million older women suffering from GSMa condition that is readily treated with estrogen creams and other low-dose vaginal estrogen products.

Testimonials Part 2 Of 3
Do Not pass up this opportunity to feel better! It is a little expensive for me but my self-esteem and sexual health are worth it, and so is yours! I have tried many things like many woman do. You name it, I’ve tried it. This product by far has been amazing. It takes a minute to get used to it but I tried other suppositories and they just leaked all over my panties. This, well for me it was absorbed , I inserted another one a day later, it melted and I do not have that achy feeling, smell or dryness. Yippy. Plus, I had a great night with my man! Woke up in the morning and was able to do it again, no problem. It had been over nine months since that happened. I stopped sleeping with him for fear he would want to be intimate. It was so painful, like sand paper! UGH!! I know men make jokes but let me tell you it is NO joke to feel like you are all chapped inside!
Thank you so much and I am sure you’ve heard it before but this is such an answer to prayer!!!! Thank you. I am just turning 50 this year but very healthy, young and live very organic and holistically so I was devastated to start having painful sex issues thinking there was nothing all natural to help. To find your product was a little miracle for me! Also I think it took care of the other little issue I had with small tiny but growing white bumps on the outside of Urethra and the Urologist said it was an Estrogen problem. THANK YOU!!
